GriefShare support

GriefShare is a nondenominational, biblical support group that focuses on helping people who are dealing with a loved one’s death. Each DVD session features nationally respected grief experts and real-life stories, followed by small group discussions about the topics presented (with workbook support).

At each GriefShare session, you will find encouragement and help in grieving the death of your loved one. No matter the cause of your loved one’s death, this is an opportunity to be around people who understand what you are feeling. You will learn how to cope with the normal emotions that come when grieving a death. You will learn valuable information on facing life situations, and you’ll gain renewed hope for the future. These sessions are open to any adult regardless of whether your experience is recent or not so recent.

The Registration Fee for this program has been donated by the Chippewa Lake Lions Club.

The fall session for GriefShare has just finished up. For information about the next GriefShare group, please call the church office at 330-975-4309.

SURVIVING THE HOLIDAYS

Grief is harder around the holidays. When you’re asking questions about your grief, a quick, cliché response is not what you need. At GriefShare, you’ll meet people who will listen, without judgment, and share helpful insights and advice.

The Surviving the Holidays event begins with a 35-minute video that will help you feel understood and encouraged, with stories of people who have found healing after loss and practical tips from experts.

After the video, you will be given a safe, nonjudgmental space to share your experiences and feelings with the group—or simply listen. There’s no pressure to talk, if you don’t want to!

You will be given a Holiday Survival Guide full of tips on how to navigate the season, including coping with painful emotions, handling social events and traditions, and more.

There will be two sessions of Surviving the Holidays offered at CrossPointe, one on Monday, November 24, from 6:30-8:30PM, and another on Saturday, December 13, from 2:00-4:00PM. For more information, or to register, please call the church office at 330-975-4309.

DivorceCare for Adults

DivorceCare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You do not have to go through separation or divorce alone. The Workbook and Registration Fee have been donated by the Chippewa Lake Lions Club.

DivorceCare meets throughout the year. For more information about when the next session will take place, please call the church office at 330-975-4309.
